11/24/2023 0 Comments Stay alfred new orleans reviewsWe never heard any other guests in the building but, because the windows are single pane and the buildings are close together and cause a tunnel effect and even though we were on the fourth floor, you hear everything outside - garbage pickup from the dumpsters across the street( this goes on for half an hour at 3:30 AM), people yelling long after midnight, cars honking at each other at all hours, loud car stereos. The only negative, and it’s a big one, is the noise outside. The apartment has absolutely everything needed for a long stay, except a broom! We walked everywhere - the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, St Louis Cemetery #1, the Riverwalk, WWll Museum, Rouses supermarket on Baronne St and when we wanted a day out of town the Enterprise car rental location on Baronne St is only a 15 minute walk away. But here we are many years later and this place is gone to crap.… The building is half empty now, with many units being used as Stay Alfred. I should have taken the hint and done the same. Last year three of my neighbors moved away after only being here a year. I am quite certain that the leasing office is not in the loop on maintenance issues. This is the third time they’ve given me a portable unit, promising it’s only temporary. Currently, I’m using a portable A/C unit because the main A/C still does not work. Each time I’m told that now it’s fixed and you won’t have any problems. Since 2018 I’ve had over a dozen maintenance calls for the exact same issues. Then a month later, the refrigerator and A/C stops working. ![]() Maintenance comes by to fix things, always promising it works fine now. My refrigerator and A/C stops working about every 6 weeks.
